Our cedar lumber is a great choice when you’re looking for lightweight, easy-to-work material with natural resistance to moisture, decay, and insects.

Each board is kiln-dried, then planed and sanded smooth to a consistent thickness, and straight-lined on both edges for clean, square stock. Cedar’s natural oils make it a reliable option for both indoor and outdoor projects.

Perfect for shelving, furniture, paneling, planter boxes, and a wide range of DIY and woodworking projects.

What to Expect

Each board will have natural variation in grain, color, and character.

This is rustic-grade cedar, so knots, small cracks, and other natural imperfections are expected. These features do not affect usability and are often part of the desired look.

Color can range from lighter tones to deeper reddish hues and may vary from board to board.

Boards are milled square and straight, but as with all natural wood, slight movement can occur with changes in humidity.

Width & Length Notes

Widths are milled to size but may vary slightly within normal tolerances.

Lengths are cut to size but are not always perfectly squared on the ends. In some cases, boards may be slightly over length to allow for final trimming.

Important Notes on Movement

Cedar is relatively stable, but wood movement can still occur depending on environment and use.

For best results, allow boards to acclimate before final cutting or installation.

Finishing Tips

Cedar can be left unfinished for a natural weathered look, or sealed to maintain its original color.

For most projects:

  • Sand to desired smoothness
  • Apply exterior sealer, oil, or stain if needed
