4/4 Cherry Lumber – Kiln Dried Hardwood S4S Boards
4/4 Cherry lumber milled for clean, consistent woodworking stock. Each board is kiln dried, planed and sanded smooth, and straight-lined on both edges for square, workable material.
Cherry is known for its fine grain, warm color, and ability to develop a deeper, richer tone over time. It machines well and finishes beautifully, making it a popular choice for furniture, cabinetry, drawers, frames, panels, and detailed woodworking projects.

What to Expect
Natural variation in grain and color is expected with Cherry lumber.
Cherry typically starts lighter in color and becomes darker with exposure to light, gradually developing a richer, warmer appearance.
Boards may contain occasional sapwood, small pin knots, grain variation, or other natural characteristics.
The nominal 4/4 thickness is surfaced to approximately 7/8" after milling and sanding.
Boards are milled square and straight, but natural wood movement can occur as humidity changes.
Width and Length Notes
Boards are milled to the selected dimensions within the stated tolerances.
Some boards may be slightly over length to allow for final trimming.
Wood Movement and Acclimation
Wood is a natural material and can move with changes in temperature and humidity.
We recommend allowing boards to acclimate to the environment where they will be used before final milling, installation, or assembly.
Finishing
Cherry finishes extremely well and develops additional color as it ages.
Because Cherry can darken quickly with light exposure and certain finishes, we recommend testing your chosen finish on an offcut before applying it to the finished project.
Oil, polyurethane, and hard wax oil can all be used depending on the desired appearance and level of protection.
