4/4 Red Oak lumber milled for clean, consistent woodworking stock. Each board is kiln dried, planed and sanded smooth, and straight-lined on both edges for square, workable material.

Red Oak Character
Red Oak is known for its pronounced grain pattern and natural color variation. Grain intensity and appearance will vary from board to board.
Because this is natural solid hardwood, boards may contain normal characteristics such as grain variation, small knots, or differences in color.
The nominal 4/4 thickness is surfaced to approximately 7/8" after milling and sanding.
Wood Movement and Acclimation
Wood is a natural material and can move with changes in temperature and humidity.
We recommend allowing boards to acclimate to the environment where they will be used before final milling, installation, or assembly.
Finishing
Red Oak has an open grain structure and accepts stains and finishes well.
For most projects, sand to your desired smoothness, apply stain if desired, and finish with polyurethane or another suitable wood finish.
We recommend testing your chosen stain or finish on an offcut before applying it to the finished project.
Width and Length Notes
Boards are milled to the selected dimensions within the stated tolerances.
Some boards may be slightly over length to allow for final trimming.
