8/4 Black Walnut Lumber – Kiln Dried, Steamed, Select & Better Hardwood

Premium 8/4 Black Walnut lumber, kiln dried and steamed for a more uniform color between the sapwood and heartwood. Each board is surfaced smooth and milled to approximately 1-7/8" thick, with both edges ripped straight and square.

This Select & Better Black Walnut is a versatile hardwood for furniture, shelves, mantels, table components, and other woodworking projects where clean, high-quality lumber matters.

Before You Order

Natural hardwood varies in color, grain, and character from board to board. While Select & Better lumber is chosen for its clean appearance, individual boards may still contain natural color variation, small knots, mineral streaks, or other characteristics of genuine Black Walnut.

For best results, allow the lumber to acclimate to your shop environment before final machining.

Great! Love it, super in every way!

I placed an order for some walnut boards and couldn’t be happier with what I received. Beautiful grain and super fast shipping! The pic is post mineral spirits and rubio monocoat.

Looks like I walked into a store and hand picked it myself. I’m impressed and will definitely purchase again.

Black Sheep Wood Studio sent me another beautiful block of black walnut. Luckily I didn't ruin this one.

Great Product. Used it to make an end grain cutting board. Will definitely buy again.

I received a very nice, clear block of walnut. This will work well for my upcoming project. The block was 1/4" over in length, 1/8" under in thickness. Plenty large enough. The block had torn a fairly large hole in the padded shipping envelope. No problem, but a double layer cardboard box might be a better choice for shipping something this heavy with sharp corners. Will use this seller again.

I’ve ordered before and still have expectations exceeded!

This was an extremely nice piece of wood! Very pleased with the quality and the fast shipping. I highly recommend this seller!

About to order again! Go figure!
