I need to get a pic of the tree, or a tree like it. For my art statement, I need the name of the tree source. The grain is great, so if it is basswood it is a different type from another basswood I’ve used..

great boards for carving

Note that the blanks don't neccesarily have straight edges, one came in with a large curved protrusion on the edge and the other is entirely slanted. They look great otherwise, just worth mentioning, seeing as all pictures show clean cut parralel edges.

I ordered 3 live-edge plaques and ended up running into an issue with the live-edge on one of the boards (there is a notice in the description about this but I was misunderstanding a bit on it) but the seller was very quick to help reach a resolution for this that worked for both of us. I'm glad to have given a small business a shot to start supplying my wood to breakaway from Amazon and Walmart level corporation suppliers. Being able to talk to someone one on one about concerns and have them be dealt with patience and kindness is always a rare and fantastic find and I will be able to order more often knowing how to request boards that suit commission needs.

The boards are great quality overall for the price, they remind me of the Walnut Hollow brand Basswood that seems to have disappeared a while ago.
